Tree Conservation through Community Rehabilitation Efforts

February 15, 2018 by Study Mentor Leave a Comment

Trees as we know are as essential as food for survival. Why they are important, is because directly or indirectly they help us procure our food, help us to respire and indirectly provide shelter. Trees are known to mankind since he first appeared on earth.

As technology advanced, man began to exploit trees for commercial purposes and in the long run, the exploitation has reached such alarming levels that a need has now risen to step up and take action against the bad actions committed in the past.

Saving Trees

The tree cover on our planet is increasingly declining day by day and the main reason behind why they are disappearing so fast is because we have stopped thinking about nature, especially trees and show no more concern to them! Of late, after much destruction was set in the past, we have now come to understand that trees play a vital role in terms of sustaining lives and helping us stay healthy in the long run.

Planting a tree

Forcefully cutting down trees for increasing infrastructure on our lands, to build huge bridges, flyovers and other structures of high economic importance result in a costly bargain for trees.Trees are the first target whenever any infrastructure project sanctioned by the government has to come up.

We do not realize the cost we have to pay when actually cutting down the trees, when pulling them down takes a real beating on nature in all its forms, and then finally we pay for the cut-down.

Non-Profit Organizations to the Rescue

Of late, there have been many instituted organizations working towards bringing in huge awareness among public, volunteers and non-profit organizations working for the welfare of trees, people literally surrounding trees when they are prepared to be felled, people acting to take care and nurture trees beyond their own personal gains, etc.

Non-profit organizations have sprung up in every corner of our globe, trying to reach out to people to spread the word about saving existing trees and helping grow more of them for our future years.

Let us try to go in depth about a particular organization by the name ‘Trees for the future’ who have been campaigning and spreading the word about tree conservation and have planted trees across every square land they came across.

The website ‘Trees.org’ belongs to them and they offer to provide sustainable development solutions to man by coming close to nature and understanding its needs. Let us try to know more about their contribution for growing trees to save our future.

All about ‘Trees.Org’

The website trees.org offers a comprehensive view of the charitable tasks carried out by the organization ‘Trees for the future’. This organization was set up as early as 1970 by two Americans, Dave and Grace Deppner.

They have undertaken projects since then and activities were mainly meant to bring people close to nature, especially trees. They stressed upon the importance of trees in human lives.

They have been carrying this over in all countries even now, where they undertake projects about the need for building a tree filled environment, for sustenance of lives on the planet, both human lives and others.

Their Motto and Values

Co-existence is their motto and they have been helping people through their projects, across different countries.

How they help people is, they create jobs in different areas of nature conservation spree, wherein they plan and discuss tasks among their teams and try to get groups to work on them.

If they are unable to reach farfetched groups personally, they communicate with their teams on-site over mails and make themselves available for all kinds of infrastructure necessary for building sustainable nature development projects.

They have unique ways of operating when it comes to building and empowering systems in their core work areas. Their motto is building huge forests, involving people in growing trees, maintaining them, taking care of them, sustaining them through the years so that they can be converted into huge forest like canopies.

They have created a Huge Difference

Usually we see charity organizations providing and helping out people with food and clothing. Here comes an organization with a difference in their working and project implementation attitudes.

They involve people to come and participate in tree growing initiatives, they make them realize the importance of trees, the need to take care of trees, to nurture them and also letting them ways to build their own occupations and an excellent way of earning their living.

Self-dependence along with supportive measures for community rehabilitation, everything done in nature’s orbit, increasing tree folds every now and then by many thousands is a great inspiration for all of us.

We Should Donate & Contribute Too!

If each of us contribute to the nature by growing at least one tree in our backyard, the efforts of all the tree community welfare organizations will prove fruitful and help in reaching their mission. We should plant more trees, for our own good, for our survival, for our next generations, to help them live a healthy and safe life, which is totally pollution free.

We have been targets of lifestyle related and stress related disorders of late, and almost every person suffers some or the other infection or allergy due to dust, pollutants, and toxic elements in the atmosphere.

We have to realize that it is the trees that help in removing these unwanted toxic elements from the atmosphere and provide fresh air for all organisms to breathe in and hence survival without trees would only prove to be next to impossible.

We should join hands with an organization like trees.org and help them by donating a little of our monetary fund to them and other likeminded organizations so that, at least indirectly we can contribute to growing a tree from our end and help save their mission and take them to greater heights.

Participation in such activities needs no special time and effort from our end. Thanks to technology, everything happens at the click of a button and in today’s money driven world, it would be very kind and encouraging being parts of a very important and significant activity such as this and we should definitely promote their activities extensively and provide our whole hearted encouragement.

Our simple motto should be

‘CONSERVE TREES FOR TODAY, PLANT MORE TREES FOR A GREENER TOMORROW’.

Let’s support to make our Environment better for the Future, make a donation
