This year, our class teacher, Mrs. Leena Metha, was to leave school at the end of the term. She was an excellent teacher, and we loved and respected her very much.
So we decided to make Teachers’ Day special day for her, and planned a special farewell programme to be held on 5th September.
When she walked into the class we rose and wished her, the classroom was spotlessly clean. All of us looked smart in our bright uniforms. Rahul went up to her and gave her a bouquet of flowers. Then topper of the class Sanjana gave an inspirational speech.
There were tears in our beloved teacher’s eyes. She spoke to us and told us to be good children and to remember all the good things she had taught us. She advised us to do our best citizens of this country.
Mam also promised that whenever she happened to come by the school she would meet us.
Teacher’s day is usually observed all over India in memory of Dr Sarvepalli Radhjakrishnan, a great philosopher, teacher and the first Vice-President of India. He later became the President of India.
Usally on Teachers Day every class in the school welcomes its teachers, and a small variety programme is held.
It is organized entirely by the students themselves. Our teacher was really very happy with the programme.
We usually wish teacher by saying “ Happy Teachers Day !!!”
Importance of Teachers Day
How important is our teacher in our life is? This question is self-answered. Teacher plays a vital role in our life after Mother, as teacher is also called second mother.
They not only teaches what is there in the books, but also how to see this world. Teacher are like to be our best friend, they have plenty of knowledge of life which they usually provide to us.
They always try to improve student performance. It is not good to say that teachers take revenge from students, as they try their best to make student life wonderful.
What we take from Teachers?
We take a plenty of knowledge from them
As we are kid, in front of them, they usually set a path for us and we have to walk through to get success.
Teacher is second mother, best friend to whom we can share our problem
Teachers provide a complete guidance, that is a lesson, and we remember throughout the life.
