Eligibility Criteria, Category, and rewards

1. Junior merit scholarship (Medhabruti)

  • This scholarship does not cover any specific category everyone from any category can apply here
  • The candidate must have passed Higher Secondary Education from a recognized Institution by BSE Orissa / ICSE/CBSE
  • The candidate must be pursuing regular +2  course
  • The candidate should apply for the scholarship in the first year of the course only
  • The candidate must have scored more than 60% of mark in 10th examination
  • The annual income of the family should be a maximum of 6 lakh from all the sources

Rewards Amount:

INR 3000 per annum for 2 years

2. Senior merit scholarship (Medhabruti)

  • This scholarship does not cover any specific category everyone from any category can apply here
  • The candidates should have passed +2 from a recognized institution BSE Odisha / ICSE / CBSE
  • The candidate must be pursuing any graduate degree of  three years from a recognized institution / University
  • The candidate should apply for the scholarship in the first year of the course only
  • The candidate must have scored more than 60% of mark in 12th examination
  • The annual family income of the candidate should not exceed 6 lakh from all sources

Rewards Amount:

INR 5000 per annum for two years

3. Post merit scholarship (Medhabruti)

  • This scholarship does not cover any specific category everyone from any category can apply here
  • The candidate must be pursuing a post-graduate degree from a recognized institution / University
  • The candidate should apply for the scholarship in the first year of the course only
  • The candidate must have scored more than 60% of mark in graduation
  • The annual family income of the candidate should not exceed 6 lakh from all sources

Rewards Amount:

INR 10000 per annum for two years

4. Technical and Professional merit scholarship (Medhabruti)

  • This scholarship does not cover any specific category everyone from any category can apply here
  • The candidate must be pursuing any technical degree or undergraduate degree and integrated courses from a recognized Government regulatory bodies
  • The candidate should apply for the scholarship in the first year of the course only
  • The candidate must have scored more than 60% of mark in last qualifying examination

Rewards Amount:

INR 10000 per annum as per the duration of the course

5. Prerna post matric scholarship for S.C.

  • This scholarship is only for S.C. category candidates
  • The candidates should be a permanent resident of Odisha
  • The annual income of the candidate should not be more than 2.5 lakh per annum
  • The candidate should be pursuing post matriculation courses
  • The candidates should be pursuing the course in a government or government-recognized private institute

Rewards Amount:

Actual tuition fee, sports fee and maintenance allowance of INR 500 for day scholars and INR1200 for Hostellers

6. Prerna post matric scholarship for S.T.

  • This scholarship is only for S.T. category candidates
  • The candidates should be a permanent resident of Odisha
  •  The annual income of the candidate should not be more than 1 lakh per annum
  • The candidate must have secured more than 50% mark in the previous examination
  • The candidate should be pursuing post matriculation courses
  • The candidates should be pursuing the course in a government or government-recognized private institute.

Actual tuition fee, sports fee and maintenance allowance of INR 500 for day scholars and INR1200 for Hostellers

7. Prerna post matric scholarship for OBC/SEBC

  • This scholarship is only for OBC/SEBC category candidates
  • The candidates should be a permanent resident of Odisha
  •  The annual income of the candidate should not be more than 1 lakh per annum
  • The candidate must have secured more than 50% mark in the previous examination
  • The candidate should be pursuing post matriculation courses
  • The candidates should be pursuing the course in a government or government-recognized private institute

Rewards Amount:

Actual tuition fee, sports fee and maintenance allowance of INR 350 for day scholars and INR 750 for Hostellers

8. Pre-matric scholarship for the candidate with disabilities

  • The candidates should be a permanent resident of Odisha
  • The annual income of the candidate should not be more than 2.4 lakh per annum
  • The candidate must have a 40% disability
  • The candidate must be at least five years old
  • The candidate must be pursuing a pre-matric degree
  • The candidate should be any other receipt of union or state government

Rewards Amount:

INR 350 for day scholars for ten months in an academic year and INR 600 for hostellers and other allowances as per the disability of the person

9. Post-matric scholarship for the candidate with disabilities

  • The candidates must be a permanent resident of Odisha
  • The candidate must have a 40% disability
  • The annual income of the candidate should not be more than 2.4 lakh per annum
  • The candidate must be pursuing a post-matric degree
  • The candidate should be any other receipt of union or state government

Rewards Amount:

Maintenance allowance and other allowances as per the disability of the person

10. Prof. Ghanshyam Dash scholarship for higher education

  • This scholarship does not cover any specific category everyone from any category can apply here
  • The annual income of the candidate should not be more than 2 lakh per annum
  • The candidates should be a permanent resident of Odisha
  • The candidate must be studying engineering, medicals or liberal arts
  • The candidate should not avail any other financial help from the government or from any other scholarship

Rewards Amount:

The scholars receive a waiver of 90% of the tuition fee and other maintenance for 4 years up to 1 lakh per annum

  • The candidate should be a resident of Odisha
