Types of Scholarships for class 6 students
Savitribai Phul Scholarship for SC/VJNT/SBC Girls
Savitribai Phul Scholarship for SC/VJNT/SBC Girls is an initiative by the Maharashtra Government. This scholarship is mainly handled by The Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance. This is a scholarship scheme for the students of selective communities, namely VJNT, SBC, SC, and this is only for Girls. The objective and focus of this scholarship are to make more girls study and get success.
Eligibility-
For eligibilty for this scholarship, the following criteria need to be satisfied:
- The student has to be a girl.
- The girl who wants to apply has to fall in these following categories- SC, VJNT, and SBC.
- The participating girl student has to be in any class in between class 5 to class 10.
- The participating girl must be a student of a Government recognized school.
- The income of the family has no such limit to be eligible for this scholarship.
- To renew an existing scholarship, one must have passed the exam taken in school in the last academic year.
Reward
- If the girl is a student of class 5 to 7 then she gets INR 60 for 10 months.
- If the girl is a student of class 8 to 10 then she gets INR 100 for 10 months.

Pre-matric Merit scholarship for VJNT/SC/SBC Students
The Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance under the guidance of Maharashtra Government organizes this Pre-matric Merit scholarship for VJNT or SC or SBC Students with the motive of supporting the backward classes of the society for education.
Eligibility-
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, the following criteria need to be satisfied:
- For being eligible to apply for this scholarship, the student has to belong to the mentioned categories only, namely, SBC, VJNT, SC community.
- The student must be in any class, from class 5 to class 10.
- The percentage secured by the student must be a minimum of 50% in the last academic year.
- Students must have had either Rank 1 or Rank 2 in the last academic year.
- There is no limit to the family income of the student.
Reward
- If the student studies in class 5 to class 7, then the reward is INR 200 per month
- If the student studies in class 8 to class 10, then the reward is INR 400 per month.

Maintenance Allowance to Sainik School BC students
The initiative of Maintenance Allowance to Sainik School BC students is taken by the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra. This scholarship is only for the students who are registered with the Sainik schools located in Maharashtra. There is an objective behind this scholarship, too, like any other scholarships, this scholarship aims towards giving more access to the students to get to know about the military service forces as well as national protection too.
Eligibility-
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, the following criteria needs to be satisfied:
- The applicant has to study within Maharashtra.
- No other schools will be eligible if not Sainik schools.
- There is an income limit specified; the income of parents must be less than INR 200000 clubbing all sources of income.
Reward
- Sainik school students of Nashik, Satara, and Pune will be rewarded through reimbursement of the full expense of every expense that incurs in school. The expenses are as follows- tuition fees, exam fees, pocket money, horse riding, and uniform, boarding, and staying too.
- Sainik school students other than Sainik school of Nashik, Satara, and Pune will be reimbursed INR 15000 annually to each student in the name of allowance for maintenance.

Award of Scholarship to Backward class high school students
Award of Scholarship to Backward class high school students, is an initiative taken by the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra. This scholarship is only for those students who are in the Scheduled Caste community. This scholarship is given to the first two participants who are in class 5 to class 10, but the class 10 students are given the priority.
Eligibility-
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, the following criteria need to be satisfied:
- The student who wants to participate must be in the SC community.
- Only students from class 5 to class 10 are eligible.
- The minimum requirement of marks in the last exam is 50%
Reward-
- If the student is in class 5- class 7, then the reward for that student is INR 50 for 10 months.
- If the student is in class 8- class 10, then the reward for that student is INR 100 for 10 months.

Pre-upper Primary and Pre secondary Scholarship
This scholarship is an initiative taken by the School Education Department under the Maharashtra Government. Pre-upper Primary and Pre secondary scholarships are for the students who are studying in class 5 to class 8, and it is a merit-based scholarship. This exam is held once in every consecutive year for reaching out to more students, the exam is taken in Pune, and it is conducted by the Maharashtra State Council.
Eligibility-
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, the following criteria need to be satisfied:
- The student must be any of the classes- class 5 to class 8.
- The basis of selection will be the merit of the student.
- Those who want to renew this scholarship, they have to show their progress and good conduct, the scholarship is valid for three years.
- The family income of the student is not taken into consideration as only the merit is taken into consideration for eligibility.

- For E set-HSS 750 and MSS 500

Professional Technical Training to Schedule Caste students-
This is a scholarship scheme that is given to ITI students and not usually but on demand. The Government of Maharashtra took the initiative of Professional Technical Training to Schedule Caste students to give employment to the students or drop out, and they also provide a short term training course before taking them to work.
Eligibility-
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, the following criteria need to be satisfied:
- The applicant must belong to a specifically Scheduled Caste community.
- The applicant must at least be educated till class 4 to be eligible for the further process.
Reward
- The one candidate who will be selected will get the reward of INR 100 every month along with a toolkit.
- The selected candidate will also be eligible for free training through ITI.
- The training period can be of a maximum of 2 months.
- INR 2500 will probably be the approximate expenditure per selected candidate.

- The scholarship should be renewed each year unless otherwise specified with any other duration.
- The basic criteria are to have at least 75% marks in the last academic year.
- Have all the required documents before you start filling the renewal form.
- The student now has to search for the official portal or website of the existing scholarship.
- Once the student finds the exact portal, they will now have to log in with the required details like Application ID and valid documents.
- Check the notification bar if there is any new update available.
- Check the details twice when you enter in the application form as it might get rejected if any mistakes are found.
- Click on the submit button and wait till the form is submitted and do not refresh the form.
- Now you can see the online status of your form, which will shortly be visible in the dashboard.
