Essay on Role of Students in Free India

February 19, 2018 by Study Mentor Leave a Comment

Who is a student? What is the nature and life of a student? Can anyone become an ideal or a good student? What does it take to become a student? Is the life of a student very easy?

There are many questions which run on our minds when we think about the word ‘student’.

Everyone at point of time becomes a student. It is not necessary that a child who is going to any education or learning institution will be the only ones who will be called a student.

Apart from this we become students in our own family as our parents and elder teach us different and important lessons of our life.

Sometimes it also happens that the old generation did not have enough facilities to receive proper education. So, in the present day there are a lot of facilities for everyone so that they can get proper education.

So, in this case even the older people can be referred as students.

A student life is very important in any person’s life. It is during this period of time that they can focus and fulfill their dreams and also pay attention to what others expect from them. This period of time is very important and crucial for the students.

Because at this point if they focus on their life properly, it will be a benefit for them later on in the future. If a student utilizes his or her time in a right way, then they will get the fruits of their focus and hard work in the future.

But if a student just wastes the time at this period of time and are diverted to another direction, they will have to bear the consequences later on in the future. This is a very common thing in life because we know what we do today will affect our future.

  • What are the roles of students in free India?

What are the duties of a student?

Apart from studying, a student has many other duties as well. First, they should read, learn and gain knowledge in a proper way.

This will help them to grow up as a proper man or woman and then become a good citizen of their country.  Sometimes after a person’s student life is over, they miss their student life.

They start thinking why did that time had to end so fast? Can’t they get those days back? This happens when their student life is over.

They face the reality of their life and work hard to make their career, survive and achieve success in their life. But the students need to understand that life is not just about the days they have spent when they were a student.

It is more than that. They need to understand that apart from studies they need to focus on other things as well. They need to  perform other works too.

They must participate in activities outside their school as well so that there is development in their personality and other good changes which will benefit them. They must make efforts and engage themselves in other activities.

They have a lot of duties and responsibilities. They should always complete their school work on time and prepare for the advance as well.

They must be disciplined, obedient and cooperate with all the people. They must maintain a good behaviour with everyone.

They must learn that good behaviour is not only till the school. They should maintain the same outside the school as well.

The way they are obedient and disciplined in school. They should be the same outside and at their homes too. Very often the teachers get complaints from the parents of their students that they have a very rude behaviour at home. They never listen to them.

This should not happen. The students should learn that the way they are good with the teachers and peers at school, they should be the same with the parents as well. Otherwise they cannot be called an ideal or good student.

The students should behave in a good manner with their parents because they are the one who are working hard and sacrificing to send them to study properly and make them proud.

They are the one who will help them to face any trouble in their life and support them always.

What are the roles of students in free India?

During the time of independence, the students helped a lot to the leaders of the country who take an initiative to get freedom from the colonial rule.

They participated in various political movements along with the leaders. Things have changed now. This does not mean that the students of today do not participate in politics.

They still do but the reason why students supported the leaders in the politics does not apply for what is happening today.

The situation was very different at that time compared to now. Those situations made the students to participate in politics but now nothing such situation exists.

In today’s world the students know their duties and responsibilities. The first and most important duty of the student is to gain knowledge and then focus on other things.

They should pay attention to their studies first and then on the other things because studies will not wait for the time of the student.

Instead other things except the studies can be done later because they will not go away. But studies cannot wait. We do not get chances again and again.

This does not mean that the students will stay alone. They need the company of others. They need to know what is going around them. The students are taught that honesty is the best policy.

But they see that people do not maintain honesty everywhere. Infact in many places people are involved in practices which are neither right for them or for the society. At such times it is obvious that students will not know which side to choose.

They will remain confused. Some people know that they want to remain with themselves. But even this does not happen because they are forced by other to get out of that.

Many of the students are forced to participate in the mass activities or politics. All of us know the condition of politics at the present day in our country.

It is fully corrupted. If the students are involved in such activities then they will get diverted from their purpose of life. This is why some of them stay away from such things.

They cannot stay alone but join or participate in such places which will help them in many ways and for that they do not even have to sacrifice their goals.

All the citizens of our country are proud of our rich cultural heritage. But when we think about how much progress the country is made, we get to know a lot of things.

There has been progress in many areas but the areas of population, poverty, literacy needs to be focused more than how it is been treated today.

The population of students in India is very huge. As the population is huge they can help to build and reconstruct the country.

This possible only if all of them are together and their energy and power is utilized properly. The students should know that they must have noble causes and aim so that they can use their energy in the right way.

The students have a lot of youth power. The problem is that they do not know how to use it. They divert in another way when they do not have anyone to guide or if they do not have positive leadership.

If they get a positive leadership from the Government, then the students can help to make social, political, moral and economic changes in our country.

This will further help to bring progress in the country. As we all know the students of today are the leaders of tomorrow, so they should know their duties and responsibilities which will help them to become good citizens of the country later on.

First, the students are taught to be disciplined from the time they start studying. So, this same discipline can be brought in the nation as well.

By doing this many social evils will be removed from the society. Any social activity which is harming the welfare of the people can be stopped.

The students can help the citizens of the country to be like a brother to each other and always think and help each other as all of us are Indians.

Our country is still in the developing stage. There are many parts of the country which are still underdeveloped. The students are very energetic.

So, they can use this to build the country and help the society. They are the ones who have to take the initiative for giving service to their country.

They can take part in various volunteer organizations for the nation and help in improving the underdeveloped areas of the country.

By standing together they can remove corruption from the country. The students can spend their holidays or free time by doing social service.

They can also help the government to implement various schemes and policies and teach the masses what they should know. All these will slowly help to improve the standards of living of the people in the country.
