Good morning respected principal and teachers and greetings to all my dear friends. Today I am going to present my speech on the topic mother and I am glad that I got the opportunity to speak on such a topic and I beg for your cooperation throughout the time that I am presenting my speech also pardon me for any mistake that I make will presenting my views.
Mother the name in itself is connected to love and care we all are very lucky to have her. She is the one who welcomes us to this world. She is the one for whom we are existing. Right from birth we are under her constant love. We never even spare a thought to think how her life is.
Think of your life without a mother. Think of how it will be if there is no one to take care of you. Unbelievable right? We all have a special place in our hearts for our mothers. Her position is unmatched. It is rightly said no one can match the love of a mother. Some cheers in the house for all the mothers yeah?
A mother is a source of life. With so much advancement in science and technology also there has not been any laboratory or factory which can produce new life. It is only a mother who has been given this divine and unparalleled ability to generate a completely different individual from scratch.
Our creator the omnipotent almighty has made them this unique and we must acknowledge this and realize that mothers are very near to the status of god if not as equal.
I being a girl I share a very special connection with my mother. It is she with whom I share my joys with, my sorrows and my fears. I would say my mother has a major role in shaping my character and my career.
She is the one who encouraged me to take up singing. She is the one who bought me my first guitar. Although it was quite against my dad’s wishes. Whenever I have fears in me I run to her. Believe me or not she has solutions to all my problems.
There are some people in this world who are so selfish that they just throw away their parents in their old age. How can someone do this? It is at this time that your parents need you the most. They leave them to rot in old age homes.
Fortunately, I had an opportunity to visit an old age home and what I saw there just blew off my mind. I was saddened to see old parents keeping the doors of the rooms open in the hope that one day their children who abandoned them will come to take them.
I was taken there in a school educational trip and we all were given the work of making the old parents happy by doing small works of love and care. Even with a little talk they were happy in not less than a minute.
I saw one old lady sitting on a chair staring at the open door in front of her I asked her, “don’t you ever close the door?”, she said, “no” I asked her the reason and her reply stunned me. she said “I hope that one day my son will know my worth and he will come to take me from this place.
I hope that my daughter in law will not shout at me anymore. I hope that they will understand the old age that I have gained and will take me in with love and care. I hope that do being an old parent I will be able to give the same love and care that I used to when I gave birth to him.
I didn’t know that my son hated me so much. I didn’t know that I couldn’t alone fill the gap that the death of his father brought with him.
I didn’t know that I could be thrown away just like others into this Dungeon. Her words brought tears to my eyes and I vowed at that time that whatever happens I will never leave my parents in such a place however bad they are, they are still my parents
I would like to conclude my speech by saying that we all are parts of a big cycle. One day you will be a parent yourself one day you will also be thrown out just like your mom.
Would you like it that time? Would like it if your children treated you that the same way like you treated your mother. Hence my request is respect your mother and love her. Love is the biggest thing that can win all fights. How can you hate the person who has given birth to you?
