Within the release of JEE Main Results, the officials of NTA will release the JEE Main marks and ranks of the candidates. Based on the marks scored by the candidate, the officials of NTA will allocate the ranks to the candidates. The JEE Main Marks Vs Rank will be released only after the final announcement of the result. For example, a candidate who has secured the 100 percentile in JEE Main exam will be awarded 1st Rank. Like-wise based on the marks scored by the candidates, the officials will allocate the rankings in ascending order.
Before releasing the JEE Main Marks Vs Ranks, the officials will consider various factors in mind and they are given below:

- Number of questions asked in the examination
- Exam difficulty level
- Highest marks secured by candidates
- Lowest marks secured by candidates
