Exams and fear are almost synonymous to each other. And an examiner is no less than an executioner from point of view of examinees.
But hardly does the examinee try to understand dilemma of the examiner.
To being on the humorous note there are different kinds of examiners. These may have classified into kind hearted ones and hard-hearted ones.
Soft hearted examiners are those who close their eyes for a while. Overlook innocent kid’s efforts to have a peep into someone else`s answer sheets.
By their act usually become apple of examinee `s eyes. Not only this, they also assist students if they have slightest idea of the answers.
Even the more kind is those who look into someone sheet and dictates the answer to the needy ones. Such examiners are messenger of god in true sense.
Hard hearted or the executioner type examiners are avatars from devil`s kingdom. They are the most insensitive human being ever born on this planet. At least examinees consider them to be so.
They are so dedicated toward their job of check on students that they don’t even respond to nature`s call at times. They perform their job with same sincerity as a solider do fighting for their motherland.
Examiners receive their invisible badge from mouth of student’s. They share this among peer the way fire spread in jungle.
Being a student, I know how it feels in an examination hall encountering with executioner ones. Face grows pale, confidence shakes up of who have believed that god will come to their rescue as examiner.
They come prepared a little owing to the confidence in their cheating skills. A mountain breaks on them when things turn up to the contrary.
The student from the examination hall comes out merry where the examiner is helpful. The examiner gets all bad names by the student from hall where type b examiners were on duty.
I tried giving my imaginations a route through examination hall as an examiner. One understands the responsibility of other if they themselves step into their shoes.
And to my strangest emotions I discovered that even the type B examiners belong to human race with heart.
The characteristic value of person is so rooted that they are not willing to put them at stake at any cost. They can’t change themselves as habits die hard. Such person performs their assigned job with full sincerity irrespective of the outcome.
Its observed, showing one’s, softer side have negative impact on behavioural pattern. Same way as over pampering of kid will finally deteriorate habit in later phase of life.
So, I thought if I were an examiner I should be behaving like a mixed bag of both type A and type B examiners at the same go. I should be helpful a little for those who have studied well. And particularly strict with those who take exams lightly.
Exams are the only way to determine student’s calibre. Exams are platform to judge unbiased, a certain age group`s mental level.
If exams are of such great importance then examiners should be dedicated towards their jobs.
By being a little sympathetic and concerned with the anxiety of examinee in hall, I don’t think is inhumane act. If someone is facing issue while attempting questionnaire a helping hand justified.
Illicit is when one allows cheating as favour selective class or under some pressure.
After all marks in some exams doesn’t decide who you could be. You will be what you learned from experiences of your life. A good experience gives you success and a bad experience leaves one as better learned person.
Sometime while correcting the answer sheets some examiners do strict checking. They do so because they want deserving candidate to score.
It’s Darwin`s theory which states that only the fittest will survive. The weaker will exit sooner or a bit later.
The prerequisite of a good examiner is complete knowledge of subject. They should be non-judgmental too.
Being biased is not expected out of examiner. Their temperament, training, personal likes and dislikes, standard of education plays key role.
An interviewer judge’s candidate`s calibre. Shouldn’t such persons be well qualified for their post and job? If the answer is in yes then the examiner shouldn’t be out casted from that of normal teacher.
They judge according to their own expertise and personal ideas. They should liberal with the examinee but need not overdo this virtue to create more of spoils brats.
It’s said a hard-learnt lesson remembered longest. I was taught one when my aunt narrated me her first-hand experience of how she caught two CAT aspirants.
They were trying to go out of the way to cheat using Bluetooth device in examination hall.
How they threatened her and without succumbing she get answer sheets cancelled. The incidence made me realize that type B examiners aren’t from devil`s kingdom.
They are pillars of strong foundation of education system. To save our entire education system from falling prey into the hands of reservation.
To avoid Non-deserving candidates at top the executioner type examiners is need of time. To judge, each candidate should be same on podium.
The job of an examiner is that of a chemist in medical profession. What doctor write up they follow the prescriptions. Similarly, an examiner follows the instruction book prescribed to them.
Some adds their personal touch to make situation manageable for them as well as for examinee. Some are reluctant to give up their rule book and want hardship to be true tester of capabilities.
Both are like two sides of same coin. Coins sometime could be either tails or heads both sides. Likewise, examiner could be soft in one scenario and hard to handle in another environment.
In the pursuit of both, an examiner and examinee, I stand by my words that I will be a mixed bag of both type A and type B examiner. For sometimes heterogeneous mixtures is more desirable, to end on a lighter note.
