Our life is not possible without work. Most of us spend time either studying or working. Where we are working or what is our position at work shows in which direction our life is going. Our work will make us recognize in the society.
Having a job is very important. Even though one will not have time for family and friends but at least the person will have satisfaction and they can do anything.
This shows that a job not only contributes towards the economy but in the personal life as well. Doing any type of job will help us discover ourselves. We will know more about our talent, potential and responsibilities.
We gain knowledge, learn from our mistakes with whatever job we have. It does not matter what type of job a person has.
It is important that the job one has chosen, they love it and have many opportunities to expand their potential with that job. One should find the proper details of the job and then work hard to get the job. I have many options of what job I want to do.
Some of them are that of a photographer, writer, news reporter, news reader, videographer, psychologist, teacher, salesman, commissioner and many more. But what if I were a salesman someday. What would I do then?

Who is a salesman? What is the work of a salesman?
A salesman is a person who sells or promotes the commercial products of the company he is working for. The selling and promotion can be done either by personally going to the customers, phone calls or in a shop. The task of a salesman is not easy.
They need to be confident of what they are saying, good communication skills and be aware of their products. Their work does not end in just selling and promoting the products. They should listen to the complaints of the clients, customers and take feedback from them. If they perform well in this job, there is a chance of getting a higher position in the sales sector.
Importance of a salesman in today’s world
A salesman connects the buyers and sellers. Even the customers benefit from the salesman. A salesman guides and provides information about the products to the customers. With this he tries satisfying and convincing them to take a right decision and purchase the products.
In order to convince them a salesman must have a good relation and rapport with the customers. A salesman helps the producers and manufacturers as well. They find out the taste and preferences of the consumers. This will help them to improve their products.
With A salesman can also help in increasing the sales which will help the manufacturers to gain profit. A salesman can learn new business practices with this job and also travel to new places.
What would I do if I were a salesman?
Becoming a salesman does not necessarily need a formal education. So, this is one advantage of becoming a salesman. But it does not mean that education is not important. Instead it will help to learn new things and have experience.
If I become a salesman someday, first I would be very happy because even I would get to use the samples of the products when I went for the sales. It would be a benefit for me.
Moreover I love travelling. This job will give me an opportunity to travel new places. I am confident of whatever I speak and I love to talk to people.
There are different types of salesman. Some work for varied products while some for a specific type of product. If I were a salesman at first I would prefer a specific one so that once I specialize in the sales of that product, I can shift to another type.
This will help me gain knowledge about all products in the end. So, if ever I become a salesman I will get to interact with new people. Talking with new and different types of people will help me improve my communication skills and remove all my fears to tackle any problem with sales.
It is a tough job because I myself have seen what happens when a salesman goes door to door to sell the products. Sometimes people buy them and other times they have to go disheartened if they were not able to sell anything.
They travel a lot, speak so much to convince the customers but if their products are not bought obviously a salesman will be sad. If I need to go for door to door sales, I will convince the customers in such a way that they will not have any choice other than buying my product.
This will help to bring an increase in the sales of my company. If this happens I will be recognized in my company which is a nice feeling. This will make me and my parents proud and happy. This is worth my hard work and sacrifice.
Doing the job of sales would help me to learn new approaches to sell and promote the products. I would love to get appreciation and rewards with the work I do for the company.
This will not only give me personal satisfaction but if I am good at this job, it is possible that I can sell any of my own product. It can be anything. Later on I can own a company. In the starting it will be a problem, but with my experience of being a salesman any problem can be solved.
There a lot of benefits if I were a salesman. But there are cons as well. There is a chance that I will not get paid on time. If my work is not up to the mark, it will affect the sales of the company which no salesman will want to happen.
This job is tiring but I would not leave the job due to this reason. There might be many difficulties I need to go through if I were a salesman. But I would work hard, face all the difficulties and perform my job with my potential, ability and dedication.
