Health is the standard and sound state of the body. This is a great source of happiness and peace.  Health refers to the state of sound mind and physically fit body. A healthy body is free from sickness, disorder, or ailment. In simple words, health refers to the emotional, physical, and psychological well – being of a person.

Generally speaking strength of the population is dictated by individual’s salary, instruction, business, and lodging, just as a mix of preventive and rehabilitative methodologies and administrations. Having a beneficial outcome on the strength of people is the shared objective of the society in the continuum of well-being advancement, disease counteraction, and human services.

It comprises a wide range of spectrums such as:

  • Physical health
  • Mental health
  • Emotional health
  • Community health
  • Spiritual health

It implies health is an asset to help a person’s capacity in a more extensive society, as opposed to an end in itself. A therapeutic way of life gives a way to have a full-bloom existence with meaning and reason.

Various defining aspects of the parameter are:

  • The social and economic environment
  • The physical environment
  • A person’s characteristics and behaviors

Hygiene refers to the practice for good health that prevents diseases. It permits an individual to live in a stable relationship with nature. It applies to the individual and the network. To be sound, realize that cleanliness and sanitation assume a critical job.

Cleanliness also motivates us to be better at what we were doing, as it promotes mental well being and encourages our mind to do work.

We should understand the importance of cleanliness as it relates to the health of an individual. To understand the importance of Cleanliness, Our Prime Minister has launched the mission of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.’ It was done to maintain the hygienic condition countrywide. 

It is rightly said, ‘if health is lost, everything is lost.’ It doesn’t recover quickly in case of numerous serious diseases. Accordingly, to keep ourselves sharp, we have to deal with both cleanliness and well-being and strive towards clean India and improved well-being.

Personal hygiene means keeping the body clean, consumption of clean drinking water, washing fruits and vegetables before eating, washing one’s hand, etc.

Public health refers to discarding waste and excreta properly, that means, waste segregation and recycling, regular disinfection and maintenance of the city’s water reservoir. Quality of hygiene in the kitchens is essential to prevent diseases.

Diseases spread through vectors. Let’s say; the vector is sullied water as on account of typhoid, cholera, and amoebiasis (food contamination). By drinking clean water, we can dispose of the odds of getting these ailments.

A few diseases are brought about by pathogens conveyed by creepy crawlies and creatures. For eg., the plague is carried by rodents, intestinal sickness, filarial, roundworms by flies and mosquitoes, and so on.

Mosquitoes flourish in stale water and rodents in trash dumps and the food that is dumped out in the open. By splashing obsolete water bodies with lamp oil or different synthetic compounds, we can wipe out mosquitoes from our neighborhood. If that is unfeasible, we would all be able to utilize mosquito nets to keep us from mosquitoes while we’re sleeping. It represents a physical obstruction for the mosquito.

Rodents blossom with unsystematic waste removal. By isolating the waste, we can guarantee that we don’t leave food lying around for rodents to eat. Close contact with wiped out individuals is additionally another method of contracting ailments 

A nation needs to endeavor to instruct more specialists with the goal that the clinical need of each resident should be dealt with. The significance of tidiness should be taught to residents, and this will make the neatness of the places where we reside.

Food Hygiene for kids

Unhealthy food habits can cause food poisoning. It can lead to vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain. As a parent, you should ensure hygiene is intact while preparing to feed or serving food to your child. 

Along with this, a child must be taught about the basics of food hygiene. They should be made aware of the germs and bacteria that cause diseases.

Cooking Food

If you are often engaged in cooking, then follow these hygiene terms:

  • Always tie your hair and cover it
  • Roll up your sleeves to avoid strains on your clothes.
  • Avoid sneezing or coughing on your food. It can add germs to your meal.

Food storage

Healthy food habits also include proper storage. You must teach your child how to keep the food more robust for longer. Understanding what to store and how to store is the best way to learn about good food habits.

Hand Hygiene for Kids

Washing hands frequently is the best way to get rid of germs in our eatables. It reduces the chances of contracting diseases like diarrhea. The simple way to practice hand hygiene is by teaching your child how to wash hands properly. Show your child how to wash hands and ensure that he/she gets the steps right.

Sleep Hygiene for Children

Sleep is essential for children. Sleep hygiene ensures that your child gets a good night’s sleep. It maintains the schedule of awake during the day and sleeps during the night. Doing this, your child will grasp the vital knowledge about proper rest and sleep hygiene.

Oral Hygiene

It is equally important to take care of your child’s mouth and teeth. Without appropriate care, the mouth may carry cavities, bad health, or oral diseases. 

Follow these vital steps to avoid oral problems:

  • Make sure that your child brushes your teeth at least two times a day
  • Always use a soft and smaller brush for your child. It will help them to get a proper hold of it. 
  • Let your child start using toothpaste when they turn two years old

Health and hygiene have a vital role to play in our day to day life. Health makes our body fit, and hygiene supports the body in it’s a healthier journey. They are like two sides of the same coin. 

Everyone around us should be well aware of the pros and cons of hygiene, especially when we talk about our kids. Proper education in this prospect will help them to stay fit and healthy throughout their life.
