Speech on Corruption for Children

April 19, 2018 by Study Mentor Leave a Comment

A very good morning to everyone present here. I’m going to speak on corruption today and how it has changed and affected our society. The term corruption is extremely relevant in our society in the present day and age and continues to eat up our moral values from within making this world a hollow shell of selfishness and unscrupulous activities.

Today at least for India, corruption is the password, and often heard subject of discussion in conversation on all kinds of forums and platforms. The simple lay man’s definition of corruption is to get a job done in a wrong and unethical way.

The first thing that we should analyze is that why do we do any work in a wrong way? The answer to this is quite simple and obvious. We do a job in a wrong way because firstly the right way to do it is very cumbersome and elaborate and time consuming and even then, the chance is that the job may still not be done.

Besides getting it done in the right way is not possible as, people are so used to wrong doing that, the person trying out the way to do it correctly will appear foolish. Moreover, doing a task in the right way has more advantages attached to it. What is simple reasons the right and honest method of doing work is long forgotten and corrupt practices have become the way of life.

When this is the simple reason for us to do wrong, why should anyone even try to do anything in the right way? When we work honestly, the result is that, either the work is not done on it gets delayed. Besides there is no bonus incentive for the honest. This is why when we study right was wrong the latter always prevails, then why not all do the wrong and reap a harvest? This is exactly what has happened in our society today.

It is not that there is no corruption elsewhere in the world, this is a worldwide phenomenon and even to some extent human, but in India it flourishes more than anywhere else. This is because, since the wrongdoer and corrupt people are never punished, they never seen to suffer and that is why they are encouraged all the more to be more and more corrupt.

Seeing them enjoying the fruits of corrupt practices, the others honest or not so corrupt are also encouraged to take the path of success that is corruption. In this way even, the one-time honest people join the bandwagon of the corrupt because they find greener pastures on the corrupt side of the fence.

In this way the process of corruption continuous to flourish and increase with more and more people joining the joy ride. With this process continue for decades, today the ratio between the corrupt and honest keeps varying enlarge proportions the site of honest being minimal and the graph of the corrupt continuously on the rise.

The result of this simple process working through the last decades is what we see today that is almost impossible to find or locate an honest man or an honest organization and we are all involved in different proportions contributing to the trend.

Talking about India recently the Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi has put in many reforms in the law and administration and also in the tax system to remove the seed of corruption from India. India is in famously known to be filled with corruption.

It is often blamed that whatever you do whatever work you need to get done for every item you have to pay the government it’s bribe. Without bribing the government cannot work hence it was highly needed to remove the seed of corruption from our society.

Minister introduced policies such as demonetization and GST (goods and services tax). Demonetization mainly game that removing all the black money from the market for this all the 1000 and 500 notes were banned.

These two major steps changed lives of a lot of people of both the rich and the poor. Corruption affects the society in such a way that the rich become richer and the poor become poorer.

Corruption is a social evil it should be which should be discarded from the society if its presence volumes people’s Minds and the basic policies which a government runs on. It follows the minds of the people they come: which has been formed to serve the people start exploiting people’s needs.

How can a government doesn’t treat its people when is expected to run properly? Hence it is high time for us to stop encouraging corruption by not paying bribe anymore. Only when we stop the corrupt people will stop their corrupt practices. If we form the government then we can change it too.
