Essay on If I become a Doctor | Short Paragraph

December 21, 2017 by Study Mentor 1 Comment

In India, doctors are considered next to god. A doctor is a professional who not only practises medicine but is also concerned with promoting, maintaining, and restoring your health through the advanced study, diagnosis along with the treatment of diseases, injuries, and other physical and mental problems.

A doctor’s profession is the most noble and respected in the society. A doctor is a person who has the ability to give a new life to someone whether as a surgeon by operating after accident or as physician curing any disease or helping for delivering a baby as gynaecologist.

If I become a doctor: Gynaecologist

If I become a doctor I would like to be a gynecologist because the rate of women dying and also child’s death at the time of childbirth or pregnancy is increasing very rapidly.

Maternal Mortality in India

India is recorded as the highest number of maternal deaths. As per the reports given by Times of India, India accounts for a huge number of maternal deaths in the world which is accounts for about 17 percent or nearly around 50 k of the 2.89 lac women who died as a result of complications due to pregnancy or child bearing in 2014.

And the major reasons for this are “Literacy and social issues”. The main reason for this is not having much knowledge of pregnancy. Many girls in today’s time marry at an early age and get pregnant and due to this early pregnancy, many problems occur.

If we will go further to the biological reasons the biggest cause of maternal deaths is post-partum Haemorrhage (37 per cent) which is often defined as the loss of more than 500-1,000 ml of blood within the first 24 hours following childbirth.

And for these all issues, the major thing which is required is proper diet, routine and medicines to be followed by pregnant women.

Our Honourable PM Narendra Modi recently announced a scheme which is the Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog Yojana, or IGMSY. And for this scheme the Women and child development Ministry has said that they will release fund of Rs 6,000 in 3 installments for every pregnant women, for the first 2 live births.

But how to utilize this money should also be demonstrated to them as they don’t know that how many things are needed to be done which precautions are needed at the time of pregnancy.

Lack of knowledge among rural people

A proper medical knowledge for having child and pregnancy should be given. For this purpose, I would like to be a gynaecologist so that I can help those women who are in small villages and are not having much knowledge about pregnancy and child birth and consult them for free.

Upcoming generations are the most important aspect of our country and we should preserve them and should as many precautions and help as much we can for their bright future as it is our duty!

One of the main reasons for this is also having more babies. Giving birth to so many children can be dangerous for a woman and the reason for this is not having knowledge and greed of getting a boy baby! Knowledge is very much necessary for them as being greedy and the urge of getting a boy leads to many female foeticides.

This is needed to be abolished as aborting a child not lead to the just death of the child but also result in some problems in mother’s body which not everyone knows.

The greed of having at least a boy after three four or more girls or aborting babies or pregnancy at an early age these so many results in damaging women body.

According to Dr Lale Say of WHO, the major challenge faced by India is the lack of accurate information about births and deaths, particularly when women give birth at home and giving birth at home is not good for either of mother or baby.

The neonate’s health is also very much important as just after birth their immune system doesn’t develop much and this leads to the danger for the baby’s health.

Being a gynaecologist it becomes a duty to educate them before pregnancy or during that also proper knowledge before planning for a child should be given and my main aim is to protect and literate as many women as I can as it is not just about them but about our future generation

It’s our country’s government work to create new schemes and they are trying to help us as much they can but being a doctor it becomes my duty to work for the citizens and can help them and work with my responsibilities.

Conclusion

If I become a doctor I’ll try my best to work for that class of society for free which do not have any knowledge or idea of medicine or treatment either and can help them as much as I can!
