The Art of Living Essay for Children

December 3, 2017 by Study Mentor Leave a Comment

What is the meaning of life? We all have a very different approach towards life. We all are different from each other. Our thinking is different. We are individuals who differ. We cannot have the same way of thinking. We cannot have the same way of perceiving the things.

We are all unique and so is the uniqueness of life. We all live with some desires. We all have some purpose. We all have different beliefs and faith. We all rely on some kind of philosophy. We have different aim. We have different philosophers all throughout the world who gives their views on life and how to lead a life.

Philosophy

Let us know about philosophy. Philosophy is a way to lead life. It is a kind of belief which people follow for their way of living. There are different philosophies. When we talk about the western world there are philosophies arranged in order. There are philosophers who gave their view.

Then the next philosophers gave their points. When we talk about India then the case is different. The philosophies are in disorganized way. There is no specific period or tenure. It is all fragmented. There are various ideas in which people believe.

The concept of god is from the very beginning. We are born with this ideology. We grow up and then tend to change our thoughts. We have the concept of polo theism. This is a concept where multiple gods are worshipped. This can be seen in the Hindu religion. In Hindu, there are number of gods.

We have the three major gods. They are brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Brahma is the creator. Vishnu is the preserver and Shiva is the destroyer. Then we have gods like Lakshmi. Goddess Lakshmi is the goddess of money. Goddess Saraswati is the goddess of education.

There are numbers of god in the list. They all have their particular role. The other concept is of theism. This is the concept in which only one god is worshipped. This can be seen in the religion of Jainism and Buddhism.

Buddhism was created by Gautam Buddha. He was a prince and he left all the luxuries of life and went on an exile. He was away from his family. He got the nirvana. He got the enlightenment. He realized that all the sufferings in the world are due to one cause. The cause was the desires.

Human mind is very materialistic. We all want the pleasure and comfort. We all need luxuries. The more we desire for the more we suffer. This is the general tendency. Once we get rid of these desires, there would be no pain. We all become free from suffering. This is a very difficult thing to do.

The comfort has become so much necessary for the people. They work to earn money. The money is to buy the things they desire for. Everything that human do is for the better life and luxury. They cannot think beyond this. This is the true fact of life.

He gave the method to set aside all the desires. He gave astangika marg. It is the eight-fold path. By attaining this, all the desires would come to an end. People will achieve nirvana. They will get mental peace. This was adopted by many people. Hinduism at that point of time had lost the faith. Buddhism gained much popularity. The great king, Ashoka, was the follower of Buddhism.

It is all up to the people. They are free to make their choice. They are free to choose the way of their living. They are free to choose the ideology that satisfies them. They are not forced. This is the art of living. People are free to adapt the method. This was the concept of theism.

The other concept is of monoiesm. It is to have just one religion. Everybody belonging to a place that follows this concept follows one religion. There are countries with this concept. In Islamic countries, they follow just one religion. Religion of Islam. The people over there are not free to make the choice of their religion. This is imposed upon them. It does not matter if they want to follow or not.

They have to follow this. When such things happen, people lose their interest. They lose the hope. This is a forced way of living the life. This creates adverse effects. People are not happy with their life. They are help-less. The other concept is of evolution. Many people believe that there is no god.

They think the world came into being because of some natural phenomena. It is said that Big Bang theory was the evolution of universe. Many people do not believe in god.

Hence there are several ways to live the life. It all depends on the choice of the individual. The beliefs and thoughts. Which ideology do they want to follow? What are the things that they connect to. The way people perceive the things. All these things make the decision.

An individual is a free soul. We have this concept of liberation of soul. The best way to live the life is to find the peace. The inner-peace is the ultimate aim of the living. Belonging to a rich family, but not happy. This is not the essence of life. The one leading a simple and less comfort life, but has a happy life. The feeling of content is life. THIS IS THE ART OF LIVING.
